Application of our product can be performed up to three times (every 5 years), which can double the useful life of your roof if the process is started when the roof is 7 to 10 years old and still in great condition.

It’s best to apply the product when your roof is 5 to 15 years old, although we have treated roofs that are 25 years old. Older roofs may have deteriorated to a point where the only option is a complete roof replacement. But if your roof is still in good condition, our Shingle Rejuvenation solution can be applied to add valuable life and restore the original colour of your roof, making it look brand new.

It’s ideal for roofs between 5–15 years old. We don’t treat roofs newer than 5 years, as these shingles still contain most of the petro-chemical oils. Roofs older than 20 years may still be treated as long as they’re still in good condition (no cracking, and still retaining most of the granular surface), although older roofs may only allow for one or two applications of the product.

Yes, the shingle rejuvenation solution will increase the shingle’s pliability, and in combination with the sun, the shingles will typically lay flat again within 48hrs of applying the product.

The cost of our service is typically 10-15% of the cost of an average roof replacement. The product can be applied up to three times, every five years, and will roughly double the life of your roof, for significantly less money than replacing your roof. It’s the perfect solution to delay a costly roof replacement for homeowners who expect to sell their home in five to ten years.

Most roofs do not require cleaning, and Bright Green Roof will use a leaf blower to remove any plant matter from your roof prior to treatment. Some roofs that are shaded by trees may develop moss. In these situations, we can apply a solution to kill the moss and wash the affected areas a couple days prior to applying the shingle rejuvenation solution.

Yes, we offer a 5-year warranty against further shingle curling. If at any point during the 5-year warranty period you notice any additional curling of your shingles, Bright Green Roof will re-apply the Shingle Rejuvenation solution to your roof free of charge.

Yes, the shingle rejuvenation solution requires the temperature to be at least 3°C (38°F) to properly penetrate your shingles. There is not a maximum temperature for application. It’s important that the roof is dry prior to application, although it isn’t an issue if it rains within a few hours after application. Wind can also be an issue and your service may be rescheduled if it’s an extremely windy day.

One team member stays on the ground throughout the whole process. Prior to applying the product, and during the application, this team member will use a hose to spray your home and outside elements (patio furniture, sheds, BBQ, etc.) with water as a precaution. The water will protect your home’s brick or siding from any over-spray or wind taking hold of the shingle preservation solution. Our team also carries car covers and may cover your vehicle prior to the application. Drop clothes are also used as an added measure to protect your driveway from the application equipment.

The shingle preservation solution will not cure an existing leak in your roof. We recommend having a professional roofing contractor assess and repair the issue prior to applying the shingle rejuvenation solution.
